5 Things to do After Installing WordPress

Assalam-o-Alaikum aur khush-amdeed apka aik dafa aur Yaari.com.pk mein :) , Aaj mein apko steps bataon ga jo WordPress install krny k baad perform krny lazmi hain aur ye steps he ap k WordPress blog mein jaan daal den gy ;)

Hum ny pehly WordPress ko install krny k tareekon k baary mein parha tha, Aaj hum WordPress install krny k baad k steps k baray mein baat kren gy...Tou ayen start krty hain..

 



 

1. Manage Admin / Admin Roles

Sab sy pehly to iss baat ki tasali kr len k aap k blog par sirf apko he access ho, Iss k liye apko thora security par dheyan dena hoga aur apni har cheez ko secure krna hoga, Sab sy pehly to aap koi strong sa Password rakhyn jo asaani sy khul na saky, aur apny email aur blog ka Password same na rakhyn, Agar kisi ko aik Password pata chal geya to wo sab kuch access kr ly ga, issliye sab Passwords different rakhen.

2. Edit Permalinks

Jab aap WordPress install kren gey to default Permalinks www.yaari.com.pk/?p=1 hongy. Aisi URL SEO (Search Engine Optimization) k liye bilkul b theak nahi.

Aapko apny blog k urls ko aisa bnana hai http://yaari.com.pk/edu/methods-to-install-wordpress-in-urdu/. Issi tarah aap koi aur text b iss mein add kr skty hain. Permalinks change krny k liye ye steps follow kren:

1. Go to Settings > Permalinks


2. Under ‘Common settings’ choose ‘Custom Structure’


3. Enter %postname%/ in the field


4. Or if you prefer to have the category in the url as well, enter %category%/%postname%/

 

3. Theme Uploading / Activating

1. Download a theme << iss link sy koi b theme zrurat k mutabik download kren.


2. Administrator Panle mein aa kr ab usko upload kren.


3. Upload krny k baad 'Activate' par Click kren.

 

4. Add Categories

WordPress installation k baad aap Categories add krny k liye ye steps follow kren:

1. Go to Posts > Categories


2. Click on ‘Uncategorized’ to edit it – change it to ‘News‘ or similar


3. Add your other blog categories

 

5. Activate Akismet

Akismet aisa WordPress plugin hai jo spammers / bots ko ap k WordPress Blog sy door he rakhta hai aur Link spamming nahi honay deta  jis sy apki SEO damage nahi hoti.

Akismet ko activate krny k liye ye steps follow kren:

1. Go to the Plugins page in the admin area and activate Akismet


2. To complete Akismet activation, WordPress requires an API key. You can get this by registering on WordPress.com then viewing your profile.


3. Now go to Plugins > Akismet Configuration, and paste in your key.

 

Issi tarah aap dusray steps b zrurat k mutabik complete kr skty hain jaisy: Sitemap, WordPress Database Backup etc...
